The Railway is a 120 capacity venue located in the centre of Winchester.

Traveling by car to THE RAILWAY
From the M3 leave the motorway at Junction 11 for Winchester South and West. Follow the A3090 following signs to the Hospital. Turn Right at the Roundabout onto Romsey Road and continue past the Hospital on your right and the Prison on your left. Turn left at Clifton Terrace. Go straight over the mini roundabout and the Railway is on your left. The carpark entrance is just past the main entrance to the bar.

By train
The Railway is less than 2 minutes walk from the train station. Leave the station on the side away from town. Continue through the station carpark and on your left is a small exit from the carpark. Look up and to your left and you will see the bar.

Bus and Coach
Main bus and coach routes stop at King Alfred's Statue in central Winchester. The walk to THE RAILWAY takes approximately 20 minutes. On alighting proceed along Broadway and through the pedestrianised High Street. Follow the high street up to the Wesgate. Bear right up the hill with the Westgate Hotel on your left. Cross the Railway line via the bridge and bear right. The Railway is on your left.

Traveling by car to THE VAULT
If traveling from the north, south or east of Winchester should approach from junction 11 of the M3 following signs for Winchester. Pass through St Cross, crossing over traffic lights. After passing the petrol station take the first left (Ranelagh Road). Pass under the railway bridge into Airlie Road and take right fork into sparkford road. THE VAULT is halfway up the hill of Sparkford Road. If traveling from a westerly direction, or traveling in a high vehicle, should approach Winchester along the Romsey Road. After passing the West Downs campus on your left and the Royal Hampshire County Hospital on your right, turn right into St James Lane. After a sharp corner turn right onto Sparkford Road. THE VAULT is halfway down the hill on the right hand side. Parking is signposted STUDENT CARPARK and can be found just below the entrance for THE VAULT

By train
THE VAULT is less than one mile (approximately 15 minutes walk) from the railway station. leave the railway station by the main exit and turn right into Station Road leading into Upper High Street. Turn right over the bridge and left into Clifton Terrace. Cross Romsey Road and walk along St James Terrace. At the end of the terrace turn to your right and cross the road. Then follow the path through the middle of West Hill Cemetery (note: do not take the path to the left of the cemetery). THE VAULT is situated opposite the far gate of the Cemetery.

 

Bus and Coach
Main bus and coach routes stop at King Alfred's Statue in central Winchester. The walk to THE VAULT takes approximately 20 minutes. On alighting proceed along Broadway and through the pedestrianised High Street. Turn left at Southgate Street. Cross St Clements Street and take the next right turn into St James Lane. Proceed up the hill and just after the railway bridge go through the gates of West Hill Cemetery and take the footpath through the middle of the cemetery. THE VAULT is situated opposite the far gate of the Cemetery.
